Lights, Roblox materials and glowing skins
1.6.0 is out for macOS and Windows. Your pet can shine light now. It can wear Roblox materials, outlines and glowing skins. And the Roblox look shows it much closer to how Studio will.
Lights
- Make your pet shine. Add a light to any part. Pick its colour, how bright it is and how far it reaches.
- Three kinds, like in Roblox. A glow all around, a beam like a flashlight, or light from one side of a part.
- Ready-made looks. Try a red core glow, a blue halo, a warm lantern or a UFO beam. More can arrive without an update.
- Keep your favourites. Save any light as your own preset, and hide a light with its eye.
- It comes with your pet. Lights export with the pet, and the setup script puts them back in Roblox Studio.
Roblox materials
- ForceField, Neon and Glass. Give any part, or any grown piece, a Roblox material. Make it see-through if you like.
- It stays that way in Roblox. The material goes with your pet into Studio.
- See it while you paint. Press R in Paint to show the material over your painting, or hide it to see your strokes clearly.
Outlines and skins
- Outline any part. A clean edge that follows its shape, even on gems and hives.
- Glowing skins. Wrap a part in a ForceField or see-through skin for that magic look.
- Grown pieces too. A grow look can get its own outline.
A better Roblox look
- Closer to Studio. Colours, shine, ForceField and Neon were tuned to look close to Studio’s default lighting.
- Light on the ground. Turn the ground on, lift your pet, and watch its light spread out below.
- A sun shadow, like Studio’s.
- A plain background. The workspace is now one solid colour that you pick.
Grow
- Its own tab. Grow now sits next to Materials, with its own categories.
- No more freezing. Growing happens in the background, so the window keeps working while pieces grow.
- Room for new looks. Grow learned many new tricks under the hood, so new grow looks can arrive without an update.
New materials
- A Valentine set. Hearts, rose quartz, love stones, a heart nebula and more. They download the first time you use them.
Pictures
- Pictures in the Roblox look. The Camera tab takes the picture just like the viewport shows it.
- Your lights are in the picture, with or without effects.
- Shine on or off. Turn the highlight off for a softer picture.
- Glow on clear backgrounds. A see-through picture keeps the soft glow around glowing parts.
Smoother
- Fewer hiccups. The app gets its shaders ready when it starts, so new things don’t stutter the first time.
- Smooth when idle. A shimmering ForceField keeps moving smoothly while you’re not touching anything.
- Never lose your work. Closing the app asks to save first, in every mode.
- A fresh start is fresh. After File → New, undo no longer brings back the old pet.
Download 1.6.0, or try it in your browser first. If you already have Altushka Builder, it will tell you the update is ready.
