Lock to stroke
1.4.1 is out for macOS and Windows. It is a small update with one new paint tool.
Lock to stroke
Lay a stroke or draw a shape, then turn on Lock to stroke (the switch under Symmetry, or press L). From then on, everything you paint stays inside that stroke — nothing spills past its edges.
It also makes recolouring easy: paint over the locked stroke with a new colour and the whole stroke changes to it, while its soft edges still blend into what was underneath. Press L again to unlock.
It works with every brush and with snapped shapes, so you can draw a clean circle, lock it, and fill or shade it without going over the line.
New parts
- Body3, a ghost cube with a zigzag hem.
- Extra6–Extra9: a four-sided and a six-sided pyramid, a tube, and a ring with a disc.
- Iris 5 in the face parts.
New parts show up in every version of the app; you do not need the update to use them.
Smaller things
- A part that is new in the library now shows its name in cyan, instead of a bar on the left edge of its card.
- The selected row in the Outliner and the effects’ Layers list now fills the whole width of the panel.
